Haden State School is committed to establishing strong relationships where our students are encouraged to actively communicate with all members of our schooling community in a positive manner.  We provide disciplined learning environments for students and staff in alignment with our schoolwide Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Framework, where students have opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values supportive of their lifelong wellbeing.

Our school rules focus on supporting our students in understanding the importance of 'being a learner', 'showing respect', 'participating safely', 'being accountable' and 'showing kindness'.  Throughout each and every day our staff consistently model to the student cohort the most effective practices for learning by providing each individual with the essential tools to reach his/her potential.

Haden State School is very proud and unique learning environment.  Students are well supported in small classes to achieve academically, socially, physically and culturally.  We have a strong focus in aligning The Australian Curriculum for all key learning areas across the school.  We place an important emphasis on our students having a deep understanding of the fundamentals in literacy and numeracy as a foundation towards building stronger learning experiences.  Beyond the classroom, students are provided opportunities to participate in an array of extracurricular programs including sport (Sporting Schools Program) and Technology both within the school grounds and across our regional vicinity.

Haden State School provides a school-based Playgroup which is scheduled three (3) times each term in Weeks 3,6,9 on a Friday morning.  Our Playgroup Program cordially invites families with preschool aged children to come along and mingle with our younger student cohort in a range of fun and creative activities helping to promote our beautiful school and build school enrolments through establishing strong community partnerships and long-term relationships.

Mr. Leigh Dunn (Principal).
