School Community and Location
Haden State School is located in the Crows Nest Shire in the Toowoomba District. The school was established in 1912 and services a farming community (beef, dairying, grain and olives). Haden is approximately 23 kilometres South East of Crows Nest.
The community is a stable township, serviced by a general store/post office, 4 churches, public hall, fuel depot, fire brigade and daily mail delivery.
Staff
Experienced multi age teachers and classroom support staff ensure that Haden State School is a positive and supportive learning environment. Success for all students through implementation of the National Curriculum in maths and english is our main learning and development focus in 2012. Information Communication and Technology plays an integral part in all teaching and learning programs.
Students
Currently 10 students attend our co educational school in Years P-7.
Financial
The major source of school funding is provided through Education Queensland’s grant allocation.
The Parents and Citizens Association also provide additional funds through school initiatives and some local fundraising activities. The support of the P and C Association is greatly appreciated and enhances the learning resources and opportunities of our school.
